Our Story

One calm morning at Ho‘okipa Beach, a young dolphin was found tangled in plastic line. Local residents and surfers worked together to free it. Witnessing the struggle—and relief—sparked our founding. We realized many never see this silent suffering, yet all of us can be part of the healing.

From that moment, a small circle of Maui neighbors formed Ka Leo o Ke Kai Naia—“the Voice of the Ocean and the Dolphin.” Since 2024, volunteers have led beach cleanups, coral restoration, and hands‑on workshops that turn care into action.

Goals & Social Impact

  • Safeguard marine habitats and biodiversity across Maui’s coasts.
  • Educate communities on plastic pollution and climate resilience.
  • Uphold Aloha ʻĀina—love and responsibility for land and sea.
  • Create simple, practical ways for everyone to take part.
